The Pickups Limited Pomona Valley (PV) Chapter proudly hosted the March 2026 Route 66 Classic Car Show in Fontana—and what a day it turned out to be. Even with the famous Southern California Santa Ana winds making their presence known, the event was an incredible success and a true celebration of the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and its lasting impact on classic car culture.
From early morning on, enthusiasts rolled in with an impressive lineup of beautifully restored and customized cars and trucks. Despite the gusty conditions, the passion for classic rides couldn’t be blown away. Attendees were treated to a stunning display of craftsmanship, history, and horsepower that perfectly honored the spirit of the Mother Road.
A huge part of the day’s success came from the outstanding support of the Fontana Explorers Post 531, whose dedication and hard work helped keep everything running smoothly. Their contribution did not go unnoticed and was deeply appreciated by everyone involved.
We also want to recognize the Herencia Ford Truck Club, who brought out an incredible showing and earned the Club Participation Trophy for the second year in a row—an impressive achievement that speaks to their commitment and enthusiasm.
Taking home Best of Show honors was a jaw-dropping 1963 Ford Thunderbird, finished in a striking green and expertly built by Starlite Rod and Kustom of Harbor City. This vehicle truly captured the essence of classic automotive excellence and stood out among an already impressive field.
All in all, the 2026 Route 66 Classic Car Show was a memorable event filled with great people, amazing vehicles, and a shared appreciation for the legacy of Route 66. Thank you to everyone who came out, participated, and helped make the day such a success—we’re already looking forward to the next one!
